Global Journal of Econometrics and Finance

(Detailed and Academically Written)

The Global Journal of Econometrics and Finance (GJEF) is dedicated to promoting equitable access to high-quality research in the fields of econometrics, financial studies, and related disciplines. Recognizing that financial barriers often restrict scholarly dissemination, the journal has established a comprehensive Free-of-Cost Policy to ensure full accessibility for authors and readers across the globe. This policy reflects the journal’s commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and academic excellence.

1. No Submission Charges

GJEF does not impose any submission fees at any stage of the manuscript evaluation process. Authors may submit their work without any financial obligation, ensuring that the opportunity to contribute to global scholarship remains open to researchers regardless of institutional or economic background.

2. No Article Processing Charges (APCs)

In alignment with its commitment to ethical and accessible publishing, the journal levies no Article Processing Charges (APCs). All editorial activities—including initial screening, similarity checks, double-blind peer review, revisions management, and final proofreading—are conducted free of cost. The absence of APCs ensures that publication decisions remain based solely on the scholarly merit and methodological rigor of the research.

3. No Publication, Printing, or Online Hosting Fees

GJEF maintains a strict policy of zero publication fees, covering all steps from acceptance to final publication. Authors are not required to pay for:

  • Layout and formatting

  • DOI registration

  • Copyediting and typesetting

  • Online hosting and indexing

  • Publication of supplementary datasets or appendices

When physical copies are produced for institutional archiving or conference display, authors are not charged printing fees unless they request additional personal copies beyond the journal’s standard distribution.

4. Fully Open Access to All Readers

The journal operates under a full Open Access model. All articles are freely accessible online without subscription barriers, paywalls, or login requirements. Readers worldwide may download, cite, share, and reuse published content according to the journal’s licensing policy. This practice enhances global visibility, citation impact, and scholarly engagement.

5. Ethical and Transparent Funding Structure

The operational costs associated with the journal—including editorial platforms, web maintenance, DOI services, digital archiving, and administrative support—are financed by the journal’s supporting institution, academic sponsors, or research grants. This transparent funding ensures that the journal remains free for both authors and readers without compromising academic standards or editorial independence.

6. Promotion of Academic Equity

By eliminating author fees, GJEF actively supports a diverse scholarly community. The free-of-cost policy ensures:

  • Equal opportunity for researchers from low-income regions,

  • Inclusion of early-career researchers and graduate students,

  • Merit-based publication unaffected by authors’ financial capacity.

This approach contributes to a more equitable and globally representative academic discourse in econometrics and finance.

7. Long-Term Preservation and Free Archival Access

The journal utilizes reliable digital preservation systems to guarantee long-term accessibility of all published content. Past and current volumes remain freely available in open repositories, institutional databases, or preservation networks, ensuring permanent scholarly access without cost.

8. Licensing, Reuse, and Author Rights

Articles are published under an appropriate Creative Commons Open Access License, typically CC BY. This allows readers to reproduce, distribute, and adapt the material for academic purposes, provided proper citation is given. Authors retain significant rights over their work, including self-archiving in institutional repositories.

9. Commitment to Transparency and Integrity

The free-of-cost policy is grounded in principles of academic integrity. GJEF ensures that:

  • No hidden charges are applied at any stage,

  • Editorial decisions are independent of financial considerations,

  • All costs are disclosed through transparent institutional support mechanisms.

This policy reaffirms the journal’s dedication to ethical scholarly communication and global knowledge sharing.
